You can find pictures of older Carolers on byerschoice.com. look under Carolers, then under old friends. Almost every older Caroler is shown although you might have to search by category.

There are several things that help identify a doll's maker. Look at what the doll was made out of, the characteristics of the face, hands, and feet. Another thing to look at is the clothing. Also, some dolls have identifying marks, paperwork, or something marked on the container they are in. Here is a link to some other information that you might find helpful on Lenci dolls.
